Thelina is a small, family operated, Fullblood Nigerian Dwarf goat stud nestled in the beautiful West Tamar region of northern Tasmania. We are committed to producing high quality Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats that exemplify the finest qualities this amazing breed:

• high butterfat percentages and milk yields

• correct, elegant, dairy-style conformation

• sweet, confident, amenable temperaments
  
  All our does are hand milked every day of their lactations, producing beautiful, sweet milk that we drink fresh and use to make yoghurt, cheese and ice cream. We conduct 24-hour milk tests and herd recording to monitor butterfat percentage and milk yields, with our milking does earning milk awards for butterfat and volume with DGSA. 
  While we are a small herd, our show team is highly completive across DGSA and AGB show rings, earning multiple Best in Show, Reserve Best in Show and Best Udder awards.
  We raise our kids in the herd, handling them daily, providing optimum care. This ensures they develop into healthy, well-rounded goats that will confidently work as a valued member of our show team, breeding program and if they are a doe, our milking herd.​

 

Since our first annual test in March 2020, we have maintained negative status for CAE and JD.
All our breeding stock are DNA parentage verified to ensure purity of their genetics. Additionally, our foundation goats have all been tested clear for Myotonia or are verified clear by parentage.
